Annual Members' Business Meeting 2018
This year's Annual Members’ Business Meeting was held Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 4:45 to 5:30 pm at the Caribe Royale, Orlando, Florida.
Agenda items included the election of officers and board directors, amendments to the Academy's bylaws, an update from the journal editor, and various committee reports.
Bylaw amendments
Amendments this year include:
- Changing the Council's designation to Board of Directors.
- Removing the Foundation chairperson as board ex officio.
- Adding APA's Council on Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and the Academy's representative to the APA's Assembly Committee of Representatives of Subspecialties and Sections as ex officio members of the Board of Directors.
- Incorporating into the bylaws the process by which Foundation officers and directors are selected, and delegates the formation of the slate of candidates to the Nominating Committee.
- Creating an Audit Committee.
