Summary: Psychological distress occurs in a number of patients following injury, yet knowing when and how to intervene remains elusive. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the current state of risk detection and early intervention to prevent non-remitting distress following traumatic injury. Also, novel neurobiological markers of risk will be discussed, including endocannabinoids.
