Spotify now added to platforms

ACLP’s program of podcasts—Topics in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry—is growing apace: Spotify was added to the platform menu last month.

You can also stream episodes on Buzzsprout, Apple and Google.

Episodes to date, between 15 and 35 minutes each, are:

  • Episode 7: Emergency Psychiatry.
  • Episode 6: Ethics.
  • Episode 5: Crash-Course in infectious diseases for psychiatrists treating people living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Episode 4: Consequences of ART non-adherence in HIV/AIDS.
  • Episode 3: Climate anxiety in children and young people and their beliefs about government responses to climate change: a global survey.
  • Episode 2: Comparison of Teleintegrated Care and Telereferral Care for Treating Complex Psychiatric Disorders in Primary Care.
  • Episode 1: HIV/PrEP Updated Clinical Practice Guidelines.

Originators, the Academy’s Online Education Subcommittee, are currently focusing on SIG-created materials and looking out for original ideas and collaborators.

The HIV/Aids Psychiatry SIG alone aims to feature a host of important topics in their specialty, such as ART side-effects (completed), principles of HIV Psychiatry care (completed), ART interactions (to be completed), and more.

Content ideas in the pipeline include one on delirium embedded in catatonia, in which there would be a debate on whether cases are primarily delirium, catatonia, or both, as well as what would be guiding principles for decision-making, say, on a lorazepam trial, memantine/amantadine, ECT, among others.

Content lined up also includes ‘soft skill’ guidance, mentorship, and early-career tips.

Platforms in use are Apple and Google Podcasts—and now Spotify is under way as well.

If you have an idea for content, email Online Education Subcommittee member Paulo Sales, MD, on psales@uab.edu
