Virtual Q&A for Trainees Interested in C-L Psychiatry Fellowship

Virtual Q&A for Trainees Interested in C-L Psychiatry Fellowship

Plus another case conference in June

The Academy has lined up two more webinars.

Sunday, June 4, 3:00-4:30pm PDT / 6:00-7:30pm EDT

Together with the American Psychiatric Association (APA), ACLP is presenting its annual webinar for trainees considering a C-L Psychiatry fellowship application, Applying to C-L Psychiatry Fellowships in 2023: A Virtual Q&A.

Fellowship director panellists and moderator Chandan Khandai, MD, will:

  • Present an overview of why trainees might choose C-L Psychiatry—including opportunities to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) clinically and academically.
  • Discuss how and when to apply.
  • Offer tips for applying and matching in the 2023-2024 cycle.

As some programs will begin utilizing ERAS this cycle, the webinar will also include a presentation from AAMC representatives.

“Whether you’re just beginning to explore C-L, or applying this summer,” says Dr. Khandai, “we look forward to answering your questions on how to join the best subspecialty there is!”

Co-sponsors of this event are the Academy’s Mentorship and DEI Subcommittees, and the APA Council on C-L Psychiatry. It is part of an ongoing ACLP Mentorship Workshop Series.

Discussant will be Donna Greenberg, MD, FACLP, Center for Psychiatric Oncology and Behavioral Sciences, Massachusetts General Hospital. Moderator will be David Fipps, DO, senior associate consultant in C-L, Transplant, and Bariatric Surgery Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic.
