A campaign entitled Mental health care works has been launched by the American Psychiatric Association (APA).
Aimed at the public—with a recognition of successful intervention by mental health practitioners—the campaign leads with testimonials in a video featured to date here on the APA website.
It will be followed by a nationwide, multi-tiered campaign using TV, billboards, and social media placements. Partnerships will be set up with influencers as well as local and national organizations.
“Our goal is to inspire more people to step forward and ask for help—by showing them that mental health care works,” says the APA. “We’ll do this by sharing testimonial-style stories inspired by real people who are seeing (and feeling) the benefits of mental health care.”
