Description of Program

This is a dynamic fellowship divided between two tertiary care hospitals (Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital). We have a large staff which includes 8 C-L trained doctors between both inpatient campuses, along with outpatient subspecialists in our ambulatory CL services. The fellow’s clinical experiences during the year are unique and include:

— Team-embedded psychiatrist on our inpatient Med/Psych unit at LIJ
— Perinatal Psychiatry clinic where fellows spend one half day a week for 3-6 months, depending on their interest
— Longitudinal Collaborative Care rotation
— Clinical rotations on the Palliative Care services
— Outpatient and Inpatient Transplant Evaluations with our Transplant Psychiatry service
— Clinical rotation in our outpatient HIV Clinic
— Clinical rotation in our outpatient Chronic Pain Clinic
— Clinical rotation in our outpatient Psycho-Oncology Clinic
