Welcome to the ACLP page for fellows' resources!
ACLP’s Fellowship Education Subcommittee developed this page to help orient C-L fellows to the many resources available to them during and beyond training and to help fellows interested in becoming involved in ACLP.
All C-L fellows are granted ACLP membership. Please visit the ACLP membership page for details on joining.
Consider attending the annual meeting, which takes place each November. The annual meeting hosts a “meet and greet” for trainees, where you can meet ACLP members and leaders, learn about opportunities for C-L psychiatrists, find a mentor, and have your questions answered. Please visit the Annual Meeting page for more details. Fellow
Get Involved as a Fellow
While completing your C-L fellowship, consider participating in the ACLP activities listed below. Becoming involved in ACLP efforts and initiatives as a fellow helps to grow the organization while also offering an opportunity to work with others in the field, learn about active issues in C-L psychiatry, and contribute to the efforts of the organization.
ACLP welcomes new members from every country, from medical students to seasoned professionals in the field of Consultation-Liaison psychiatry. All CLP fellows are automatically offered membership to ACLP. If you have not been enrolled as a fellow, please ask your fellowship program director to notify the ACLP Executive Office of your current status and eligibility for membership.
At a glance, ACLP membership provides:
- A subscription to our journal, Journal of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (JACLP), and online access to two additional related journals: General Hospital Psychiatry and Journal of Psychosomatic Research
- A robust annual scientific meeting with members saving at least 25% on annual meeting registration fees
- Online educational content, including guidelines and practical information
- Opportunities to contribute and participate in ACLP’s committee structure
- Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that bring together members with similar interests in C-L psychiatry to discuss issues, therapies, and training
- A distinguished Fellowship and Awards program
- ACLP’s biannual newsletter with reports and updates of ACLP projects, members, and events
The goal of the ACLP Trainee and Early Career Psychiatrist Mentorship Program is to offer guidance and additional support to fellows interested in Consultation-Liaison psychiatry.
The ACLP annual meeting is a fantastic way to learn more about the latest advancements in the field, meet other C-L psychiatrists and trainees with shared interests, and present your own work through workshops, symposia, or poster sessions.

To encourage fellows to join ACLP, attend the annual meeting, and eventually become new leaders in the field and within ACLP, a limited number of travel grants are available to help offset the cost of attending the annual meeting.
The Webb Fellowship Program is designed to foster the career development and leadership potential of advanced psychiatry residents and C-L fellows who plan to engage in an academic career in C-L psychiatry.

Many ACLP members are especially interested in one or more subspecialty areas of C-L psychiatry. We are pleased to sponsor a range of special interest groups (SIGs), which bring together professionals to discuss clinical care, teaching, and research in subspecialty areas.
For many years, SIGs have provided vital networking, mentoring, and collaborative support to hundreds of our members. SIGs meet at the annual meeting and also throughout the year via listserv, teleconferencing, and email.
