‘We encourage… emphasizing active learning and peer-to-peer interaction’
Each November, our ACLP membership eagerly gathers together to learn and build connections, inspiring us to work toward transformation in our learners, patients, systems, and the profession.
We are hopeful for our first in-person gathering in three years this fall and look forward to re-connecting and learning together.
At the same time, we recognize that some will be unable to travel in the fall, and so plan to build on the experience of our last two meetings to offer a strong program of livestreaming offerings and pre-recorded content to allow for learning at a distance.
Whatever the mode of engagement, we hope to provide a transformative learning experience that inspires attendees in their work as educators, practitioners, administrators, and researchers.
This year, abstracts for breakout sessions should be submitted as one of two types: Live Workshops and Virtual Symposia. Live Workshops will be highly interactive sessions with all presenters intending to join us in Atlanta to facilitate. Virtual symposia will be pre-recorded.
Consistent with our meeting theme, we encourage submitters of preconference courses and live workshops to incorporate best practices in adult education, particularly emphasizing active learning and peer-to-peer interaction in their sessions, and those Annual Meeting subcommittees will incorporate this goal in their review process.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 11:59 pm EDT on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
Criteria for submissions are here.
Registrants for last year’s digital annual meeting will, as promised, receive a grant of $100 towards attendance at this year’s in-person meeting.
The outline program schedule for the 2022 meeting is:
Preconference day, Wednesday, November 9—a full day of learning opportunities. In the morning a half-day Essentials of C-L Psychiatry course will be on offer—free to ACLP members registered for the full conference. In the afternoon, there will be a variety of half-day Skills courses. The annual meeting itself begins on Thursday, November 10, and continues through a farewell lunch on Saturday, November 12.
